National Construction has announced a new focus on projects that enhance communities – from education and healthcare facilities to retail, hospitality and industry – allowing its sister division to focus on building and transforming churches and nonprofits.

A division of JG Development, National Construction shared commercial building responsibilities with sister division NCI-Roberts Construction over the last five years.

Having launched two new residential construction brands in 2015 – Brio Design Homes, a custom home builder and Vive Home Transformations, an elite remodeler – owners Jeff and Mary Grundahl recognized the potential value in concentrating each commercial division’s specialty.

The commercial construction firm’s new focus is a natural fit, as much of its portfolio already features those businesses and services most important to a city’s residents, including childcare, healthcare and government facilities, and housing.
