National Construction, our client Alpha Xi Delta, and our partner Krittenbrink Architecture earned top honors last night at the Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) of Wisconsin Annual Projects of Distinction Awards Program.

ABC of Wisconsin awarded us Silver in the Restoration/Renovation All Sizes category for our 22,000 square foot restoration of a neglected 1930s dormitory, the result of which is one of the top Greek facilities on the UW-Madison campus.

Nearly every room was gutted, electrical and plumbing element was replaced and surface was refinished, and key architectural elements were re-established throughout the building. The project was completed on-time despite a two-month delay, and on-budget despite significant structural issues.

“We are proud to share this award with our client, and also with Krittenbrink Architecture and all of our subcontractors, who played an integral part in completing this high-quality facility. We are grateful to ABC of Wisconsin and all who put time and effort into the Projects of Distinction Awards program,” said Jeff Grundahl, owner of National Construction.
